Welcome Back! It’s 2024 and we find ourselves in a moment of tremendous progress and momentum for the Baltimore Tech hub and the future of our city.
After 2.5 years of engaging with founders, investors and other key leaders, UpSurge has emerged as the preeminent ecosystem-building organization for the Baltimore tech community and a national voice for equitable economic growth. We’ve met with over 300 tech startups, 100 funders, and 50 local and national conferences, accelerators, incubators, and entrepreneur support organizations, thoughtfully bringing them together in ways that move the needle for Baltimore tech companies. And we’re just getting started!
UpSurge is now focused on activating more stakeholders for Baltimore tech, including major local and national brands, city and state officials, and the leaders of Baltimore’s fastest-growing tech companies, aligning them around opportunities to leverage our region’s unique assets and talent to build game-changing companies, grow our tech economy and contribute to the renaissance reshaping Charm city into the place we all want to live, work and play.
We all know, the diversity of innovation and talent in Baltimore is unmatched. That is our biggest advantage. In 2024, we are charting a new path for American innovation in Baltimore and are well on our way to becoming the first Equitech city in the world.
